THE STRING DESIGNER, started our first
company in 1959, and from the early sixties
manufactured Electric and Bass Guitar
Strings for Vox and Burns Guitars, as well as
top groups who formed a major part of the
"Great British Beat Boom".
By the mid sixties James How Industries was
born, launching the "ROTOSOUND" brand
name, along with the original and revo-
lutionary roundwound "SWING BASS 66".
From these firm foundations came further
innovations which include the patented
"SUPERWOUND 606" with the Piano String
Design, the "ROTOSOUND 55" with the
Linea FlatRound de luxe finish, the special
"BILLY SHEEHAN 66" and the unique Black
Anodised "SPACER 6006"

The original classic "SWING BASS 66"
formula has now been technically
upgraded to bring you extra brightness
and durability synonymous with the
"Great British Sounds that come
from ROTOSOUND".
